GEORGIA TOPS 100,000 MARK IN CORONAVIRUS CASES

Over 100,000 people in Georgia have been infected with coronavirus, per the state Department of Public Health.

According to the latest update from the DPH, there were 100,470 confirmed cases of COVID-19 statewide as of 3 pm on Tuesday afternoon. There were 2,899 deaths related to the virus. In Floyd County, there were 629 confirmed cases and 15 fatalities. Gwinnett County had the most confirmed cases in the state with 9,972. Fulton County had the most fatalities with 316.

Georgia was the ninth state to surpass the 100,000 mark. Over three million confirmed coronavirus cases have been reported across the US.
