NEARLY 117,000 HAVE BEEN INFECTED WITH CORONAVIRUS AS THE DEATH TOLL TOPS 3,000 IN GEORGIA

Close to 117,000 people in Georgia have been infected with the coronavirus, while the death toll has now passed the 3,000 mark, per the state Department of Public Health.

According to the latest report by the DPH at 3 pm on Sunday afternoon, there were 116,926 confirmed cases of COVID-19 across the state. A total of 3,001 deaths have been attributed to the virus. Floyd County has had 724 confirmed cases and 15 fatalities. Gwinnett County reported the most confirmed cases in the state with 11,304. Fulton County had the most fatalities with 324.
