ROME-FLOYD FIRE DEPARTMENT RECEIVES A GRANT TO BOOST FIRE PREVENTION EFFORTS

The Rome-Floyd County Fire Department has announced that they have been awarded a fire prevention grant that totals $2,719 from FM Global, one of the world’s largest commercial property insurers.

Troy Brock, Fire Chief, accepted the award from Blair Carter, representative for FM Global, at the Rome-Floyd County Fire Department Training Center. The money has been used for the purchase of Sparky the Fire Dog mascot to assist in the Fire and Life Safety Education Team’s fire prevention education efforts.
