Over 143,000 people in Georgia have been infected with coronavirus, per the state Department of Public Health.
According to the latest report by the DPH just prior to 3 pm on Sunday, there were 143,123 confirmed cases of COVID-19 across the state. A total of 3,173 fatalities have been attributed to the virus. Here in Floyd County, there were 860 confirmed cases and 15 fatalities. Gwinnett County reported the highest number of confirmed cases in the state with 13,444, while Fulton County had the most deaths with 339.
