The Rome-Floyd County Commission on Children and Youth will proceed as planned this year with their Swing Fore Kids Golf Classic, which is slated for Friday, September 25th at Stonebridge Golf Club.
The 26th annual tournament is being held a little later than normal because of concerns over the coronavirus, asserts LaDonna Collins, RFCCCY Executive Director, who adds that teams are still sought to participate.
Corporate sponsorships are available at a cost of $1,000, while team sponsors can sign on for $500. Other sponsorship opportunities are available to fit any budget, indicates Collins. Event proceeds will be used by the Commission to support human service agencies geared towards youth and families within the community. The funding is distributed to these agencies via mini-grants, says Collins.
Tournament proceeds also benefit programs such as the annual Floyd County Teen Maze, which Collins hopes will happen in 2020.
