FREE FOOD BOXES TO BE DISTRIBUTED AT THE COOSA VALLEY FAIRGROUNDS THIS EVENING

Free food boxes will be distributed this evening to Rome and Floyd County families in need, courtesy of the USDA’s Farmers to Families program. The distribution will be held from 5 pm to 7 pm at the Coosa Valley Fairgrounds in Rome. Over 2,000 boxes of fresh produce are up for grabs. Families will drive-in to pick up boxes in “COVID-19 Safe” car lines. They will enter the fairgrounds through the back gate and exit via the front gate. Registration is not necessary. Food boxes are free to anyone in need.

Tonight’s distribution is organized and sponsored in part by Rome and Seven Hills Rotary Clubs, the Davies Homeless Shelters, and Hope Alliance.
