MORE THAN 178,000 CONFIRMED CASES OF CORONAVIRUS HAVE BEEN REPORTED IN GEORGIA

Coronavirus cases rose by nearly 3,500 and 79 more deaths were reported in Georgia on Wednesday by the state Department of Public Health.

According to the latest report from the DPH released just prior to 3 pm, there have been 178,323 confirmed cases of COVID-19 statewide. A total of 3,642 fatalities have been attributed to the virus. In Floyd County, there were 1,138 confirmed cases and 15 deaths. Fulton County had the state’s highest number of confirmed cases with 16,867 and the most fatalities with 381.
