BRAVES TOP BLUE JAYS IN A HOMER-HAPPY OUTING AT TRUIST PARK

The Atlanta Braves defeated the Toronto Blue Jays 10-1 on Tuesday night in the opener of a three-game interleague series at Truist Park.

Highlights included a three-run homer from Austin Riley in the bottom of the fifth inning.

Matt Adams and Tyler Flowers each had solo home runs to get the Braves on the board in the second. Adams later departed the ballgame with tightness in his left hamstring.

Max Fried picked up the win for Atlanta after giving up just one run and four hits, walking two and striking out three in six innings. Matt Shoemaker took the loss for Toronto.

The Braves will face the Blue Jays again tonight at 7:10 pm. That game will be broadcast on WLAQ 1410 AM and 96.9 FM; air time is 5:55 pm.
