BRAVES FALL TO BLUE JAYS AT TRUIST PARK

The Atlanta Braves fell to the Toronto Blue Jays 2-1 on Wednesday night in the middle outing of a three-game interleague set at Truist Park.

Sean Newcomb took the loss for Atlanta after giving up two earned runs and five hits, walking one and striking out four over four and two-third innings of work. Hyun-Jin Ryu nabbed the win and Anthony Bass was credited with the save for Toronto. Jays’ pitchers gave up just three hits to the Braves.

The Blue Jays jumped on the board first on a sac fly by Danny Jansen which brought Vladimir Guerrero Jr to home plate in the top of the second. An RBI single by Cavan Biggio drove Bo Bichette home to score the Jays’ second run of the night in the fifth.

Adam Duvall had a solo home run in the bottom of the seventh to account for the Braves’ only run of the evening.
