SALVATION ARMY OF ROME TEAMS WITH WALMART TO ‘STUFF THE BUS’ FOR KIDS IN NEED

The Salvation Army of Rome is teaming up with Walmart to provide school supplies to children in need during their “Stuff the Bus” campaign events at the Walmarts located at 825 Cartersville Highway and 2510 Redmond Circle from August 7th through 9th, according to a Salvation Army release.

Rome “Stuff the Bus” events are among more than 4,500 similar events being held at Walmart stores nationwide. Shoppers are encouraged to purchase and drop off requested items at Salvation Army collection bins at the front of each store.

Lieutenant Tim Blevins from the Salvation Army of Rome says, “There are many children in Rome and Floyd County whose parents will have to make the tough choice between school supplies, groceries, the electric bill, or their insurance. We anticipate there to be more need for assistance this year due to the novel coronavirus.”
