BRAVES SWEEP TWIN BILL WITH PHILLIES IN PHILADELPHIA

The Atlanta Braves swept a double-header against the Philadelphia Phillies, 5-2 and 8-0, on Sunday at Citizens Bank Park in Philadephia. This allowed the Braves to take the lead in the National League East standings.

Ronald Acuna, Jr. had a total of three home runs on the day – a two-run bomb in game one, along with a solo shot and another two-run homer in game two.

Freddie Freeman also had a two-run shot in the nightcap. Adam Duvall had a three-run double in the Braves’ five run fifth inning of the opener.

Tyler Matzek got the win, while Mark Melancon picked up the save in game one. Max Fried cruised to his third win of the season in game two.

The Braves will wrap up their series in Philadelphia this evening. First pitch is set for 6:05 pm. The game will be broadcast on WLAQ 1410 AM and 96.9 FM; air time is 4:50 pm.
