RIBBON CUTTING HELD FOR NEW INDOOR COURTS AT THE ROME TENNIS CENTER AT BERRY COLLEGE

A ribbon cutting was held on Monday to celebrate the opening of the indoor courts at the Rome Tennis Center at Berry College.

The new indoor facility is the home to six standard USTA tennis courts with seating for over 400 spectators. Completion of this new facility enhances the opportunities to bid on some major tournaments, particularly tournaments on a collegiate level that require an indoor facility, enthuses Sammy Rich, Rome City Manager. The original goal was to have courts ready back in the Spring for the 2020 ACC men’s and women’s tennis championships, which ended up being called off due to COVID-19.

The award-winning Rome Tennis Center at Berry College is located at 100 Match Point Way; indoor courts are located towards the northwest corner of the complex.
