BRAVES DROP SERIES OPENER TO YANKEES IN NEW YORK

The Atlanta Braves fell to the New York Yankees 9-6 on Tuesday night in the opener of a two-game interleague set at Yankee Stadium in New York. It was the second straight defeat for the Braves.

Touki Toussaint was tagged with the loss for Atlanta after giving up six runs (five of them earned) and four hits, walking one and striking out three in four innings of work.

Marcell Ozuna got the Braves on the board with a three-run homer in the top of the sixth.

Luke Voit contributed a three run homer and Aaron Judge belted a solo shot in the Yankees’ win over the Braves. Jordan Montgomery was credited as the winning pitcher for New York.

The Braves will wrap up their series versus the Yankees tonight in New York. First pitch is slated for 7:05 am. The game will be broadcast on WLAQ 1410 AM and 96.9 FM; air time is 5:50 pm.
