COOSA VALLEY FAIR CANCELLED FOR 2020

The Coosa Valley Fair has been postponed for 2020 due to concerns over the coronavirus. “Fall’s Finest Festival”, as it is affectionately known, will return in 2021.

Via a statement that was released Tuesday evening by the Coosa Valley Fair Association, the fair’s president JP Cooper said, “For many months now, we have been closely monitoring the number of cases and hospitalizations due to the coronavirus pandemic. We had been hopeful to be able to put on the 72nd Coosa Valley Fair, as it is such a traditional fall event for the community. Unfortunately, as we have seen a rise in cases, we just cannot risk the health and safety of volunteers, visitors, and vendors.”

Cooper added, “It was definitely not an easy decision for our board to make, as proceeds from the Coosa Valley Fair benefit the Family Resource Center and so many organizations in the community.”

Next year’s Coosa Valley Fair is promised by the CVFA to be the biggest and best one yet.
