CONFIRMED COVID-19 CASES NEARING 230,000 AS DEATH TOLL EXCEEDS 4,500 IN GEORGIA

The number of coronavirus infections is nearing 230,000 while the death toll has exceeded 4,500 in Georgia, per the state Department of Public Health.

According to the latest report by the DPH just before 3 pm on Thursday, there have been 228,668 confirmed cases of COVID-19 across the state. A total of 4,538 fatalities have been attributed to the virus. In Floyd County, there were 1,692 confirmed cases and 18 deaths. Fulton County had the most confirmed cases in the state with 21,373 and the most deaths with 462.
