JUST UNDER 1,850 NEW CASES OF CORONAVIRUS AND 25 VIRUS-RELATED DEATHS REPORTED ON MONDAY IN GEORGIA

Just under 1,850 new cases of coronavirus were reported and the number of fatalities increased by 25 in Georgia on Monday, per the state Department of Public Health.

According to the latest report by the DPH issued just before 3 pm, there have been 238,861 confirmed cases of COVID-19 across the state. A total of 4,727 fatalities have been attributed to the virus. In Floyd County, there were 1,823 confirmed cases and 20 deaths. Fulton County had the most confirmed cases in the state with 22,107 and the most deaths with 476.

The Rome City Schools now offer a COVID Tracker that will be updated on a daily basis. It is featured online at www.rcs.rome.ga.us. As of late Monday, a total of 58 students and 28 staff members were in quarantine.
