The Kickback to the Community charity silent auction enters its final days at Ford, Gittings & Kane Jewelers in downtown Rome. The bidding will end on Saturday at 2 pm at the jewelry store, located at 312 Broad Street.
Kickback has been expanded this year to support any local non-profit in need due to the impacts of coronavirus, states Jan Ferguson, gemologist with Ford, Gittings & Kane. Bid cards are currently available for the cost of $10 each at the jewelry store (and through various participating nonprofits); proceeds will go to the charity of the purchaser’s choice.
Beneficiaries will also receive 10 percent of the proceeds from each item sold in the auction. Consumers have the option to ‘buy it now’ if they hope to avert a risk of not being the highest bidder on any particular item.
Bidding opened for the Kickback to the Community charity silent auction for 2020 on August 12th. Additional details and a sneak preview of auction items may be found on Ford, Gittings & Kane Jewelers’ social media outlets.
