NEARLY 3,000 CASES OF CORONAVIRUS REPORTED IN GEORGIA ON THURSDAY

Nearly 3,000 new cases of coronavirus were reported in Georgia on Thursday by the state Department of Public Health, along with 61 additional deaths.

According to the latest report by the DPH issued just before 3 pm, there have been 246,741 confirmed cases of COVID-19 across the state. A total of 4,904 fatalities have been attributed to the virus. In Floyd County, there were 1,912 confirmed cases and 20 deaths. Fulton County had the state’s highest number of confirmed cases with 23,068 and the most deaths with 481.
