Close to 254,000 people have been infected with coronavirus in Georgia, per the state Department of Public Health.
According to the latest report by the DPH just prior to 3 pm on Sunday, there have been 253,949 confirmed cases of COVID-19 statewide. A total of 5,132 fatalities have been attributed to the virus. In Floyd County, there were 2,015 confirmed cases and 27 deaths. Fulton County had the state’s highest number of confirmed cases with 23,751 and the most deaths with 490.
