MORE THAN 2,200 NEW CASES OF CORONAVIRUS REPORTED ON TUESDAY IN GEORGIA

More than 2,200 new cases of coronavirus and over 100 virus-related deaths were reported across Georgia on Tuesday by the state’s Department of Public Health. One of those fatalities was in Floyd County.

According to the latest report by the DPH that was released just before 3 pm, there were 258,354 confirmed cases of COVID-19 statewide. A total of 5,262 fatalities were attributed to the virus. Here in Floyd County, there were 2,086 confirmed cases and 29 deaths. Fulton County had the state’s highest number of confirmed cases with 23,987 and the most fatalities with 497.
