HABITAT FOR HUMANITY – COOSA VALLEY HOPES TO HAVE 57TH HOME READY FOR PARTNER FAMILY BY THE HOLIDAYS

Habitat for Humanity – Coosa Valley is currently building their 57th home in South Rome.

Funding and volunteers have been provided by First Baptist Church of Rome for this home, which upon completion will belong to a single mother, as well as her three children and a grandchild, according to Betsy Allgood, Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity – Coosa Valley. The ultimate aim is to have the family in their new home just in time for the holidays.

Allgood adds that the family has contributed some sweat equity in exchange for their new home.

Habitat for Humanity – Coosa Valley has served Chattooga, Floyd, and Polk Counties since 1984. This organization sells homes to partner families at no profit. Homes are financed with an affordable no interest loan. The monthly mortgage payments go toward building additional Habitat homes.
