OVER 2,500 NEW CASES OF COVID-19 REPORTED IN GEORGIA ON THURSDAY

More than 2,500 new cases of COVID-19 and over 80 virus-related fatalities were reported across Georgia on Thursday by the state Department of Public Health. One less fatality was reported in Floyd County on Thursday than had been reported on Wednesday.

According to the latest report by the DPH that was released just before 3 pm, there have been 263,074 confirmed cases of COVID-19 statewide. A total of 5,393 fatalities have been attributed to the virus. In Floyd County, there were 2,193 confirmed cases and 29 fatalities. Fulton County had the state’s highest number of confirmed cases with 24,378 and the most deaths with 498.
