NEARLY 1,300 NEW CASES OF COVID-19 REPORTED IN GEORGIA ON SUNDAY

Close to 1,300 cases of COVID-19 and nearly 30 virus-related fatalities were reported in Georgia on Sunday by the state Department of Public Health.

According to the latest report by the DPH issued just before 3 pm, there have been 268,973 confirmed cases of COVID-19 across the state. A total of 5,604 fatalities have been attributed to the virus. In Floyd County, there were 2,269 confirmed cases and 31 deaths. Fulton County had the state’s highest number of confirmed cases with 24,801 and the most deaths with 515.
