MORE MILITARY DEMONSTRATION TEAMS ADDED TO THE 2020 WINGS OVER NORTH GEORGIA DRIVE IN AIR SHOW LINE-UP

Additional military demonstration teams have been added to the line up for the 2020 Wings Over North Georgia Drive-In Air Show, as confirmed by an event media release on Tuesday. These additional teams include the US Air Force F-16 Viper and C-17 Globemaster II.

The drive-in edition of the air show will take place on October 24th and 25th at the Russell Regional Airport. The United States Air Force Thunderbirds will make their third appearance in Rome as headliners. The line-up also includes the US Air Force’s A-10 Thunderbolt II demonstration team and the US Army Golden Knights parachutists.

Says John Cowman, President of JLC AirShow Management, “Our 2020 air show will feature more military demonstration teams than we’ve ever hosted during a single event.”

The Viper will join the Thunderbolt (aka Warthog) and a P-51 Mustang for a US Air Force Heritage Flight during WONG 2020.

A drive-in format is being used for this year’s air show to protect the safety of attendees and allow for social distancing in this era of coronavirus.

Tickets are only being sold in advance and will not be sold on show days. Get tickets and more information at www.wingsovernorthgeorgia.com. The front row parking tickets for Saturday and Sunday have already sold out, according to Cowman.
