MORE THAN 2,000 NEW CASES OF CORONAVIRUS REPORTED IN GEORGIA ON WEDNESDAY

Over 2,000 new cases of COVID-19 and almost 70 virus-related deaths were reported across Georgia on Wednesday afternoon by the state Department of Public Health.

According to the latest DPH report that was released just prior to 3 pm, there were 274,613 confirmed cases of COVID-19 across the state. A total of 5,795 fatalities have been attributed to the virus. In Floyd County, there were 2,343 confirmed cases and 33 deaths. Fulton County had the state’s highest number of confirmed cases with 25,150 and the most deaths with 527.
