ROME-FLOYD COUNTY FIRE DEPARTMENT MAINTAINS HIGH ISO RATING

The Rome-Floyd County Fire Department has maintained an ISO rating of Class 2/2X, according to a release by the City of Rome. There are more than 40,000 fire departments nationwide that are graded by ISO (or the Insurance Services Office), and only 1,700 have the high rating of a Class 2. The score is determined by surveying city and county departments to include fire, both the Rome and Floyd County water systems, and emergency communications (or 911).

Chief Troy Brock of the Rome-Floyd County Fire Department asserts, “This is a great example of multiple agencies working together for the good of the community. Special thanks goes to Water and Sewer Director Mike Hackett, Floyd County Water Director Steve Hulsey, and E-911 Director John Blalock for their assistance in achieving this rating.”
