CLOSE TO 284,000 CORONAVIRUS CASES HAVE BEEN REPORTED ACROSS GEORGIA

Nearly 284,000 people have (or have had) the coronavirus in Georgia, per the state Department of Public Health, which reported 612 new cases, along with seven more virus-related deaths on Monday.

According to the latest DPH report which was issued just before 3 pm, there have been 283,807 confirmed cases of COVID-19 across the state. A total of 6,044 fatalities have been attributed to the virus. In Floyd County, there were 2,504 confirmed cases and 35 fatalities. Fulton County had the state’s highest number of confirmed cases with 25,681 and the most deaths with 545.
