NINETEEN TRAFFIC FATALITIES REPORTED ACROSS GEORGIA OVER LABOR DAY WEEKEND, ONE OF THEM IN ROME

The Georgia Department of Public Safety has reported that there were a total of 19 traffic fatalities across the state during the Labor Day holiday weekend. The 78-hour period got underway at 6 pm on Friday and ended Monday night at 11:59 pm.

One fatality occurred in Rome. The deceased has been identified as 42-year-old Heather Shelley. She was the victim of a hit-and-run on Watson Street on Sunday, according to reports.
