OVER 287,000 IN GEORGIA HAVE (OR HAVE HAD) CORONAVIRUS

More than 287,000 people have (or have had) coronavirus in Georgia, per the state Department of Public Health, which reported 2,081 new cases as well as 60 virus-related deaths on Wednesday.

According to the latest report by the DPH issued just before 3 pm, there have been 287,287 confirmed cases of COVID-19 across the state. A total of 6,128 fatalities have been attributed to the virus. In Floyd County, there were 2,560 confirmed cases and 35 deaths. Fulton County had the state’s highest number of confirmed cases with 25,861 and the most fatalities with 551.

Changes will be added the report effective today, as indicated in a DPH press release. New additions will include an option via “COVID-19 Over Time” to zoom in on a specific time period by clicking on the graph and using a mouse to zoom in or out, along with graphs to exhibit the cases by age over time and deaths by age and race.
