MORE THAN 289,000 PEOPLE IN GEORGIA HAVE (OR HAVE HAD) COVID-19

More than 289,000 people have (or have had) the coronavirus in Georgia, per the state Department of Public Health, which reported 1,930 new cases along with 76 virus-related deaths on Thursday. Three of the fatalities were reported in Floyd County.

According to the latest report by the DPH issued just before 3 pm, there have been 289,123 confirmed cases of COVID-19 across the state. A total of 6,204 fatalities have been attributed to the virus. In Floyd County, there were 2,593 confirmed cases and 38 deaths. Fulton County had the state’s highest number of confirmed cases with 25,934 and the most fatalities with 550.
