AAA: GEORGIA’S GAS PRICES HAVE DECREASED OVER THE PAST WEEK

Georgia’s gas prices have decreased in the past week, according to AAA, The Auto Club Group. Motorists statewide are now paying an average of $2.02 a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline. That is two cents less than last week, six cents more than last month, and 39 cents less than last year.

Montrae Waiters, AAA spokeswoman, states, “Georgia gas prices are drifting lower across the state. Lower demand has helped pump prices to decline this week; the descent will likely continue as summer fades to fall.”

Sunday’s national average was $2.19 per gallon of regular unleaded gasoline; that’s three cents less than last week, two cents more than last month, and 38 cents less than this time last year.
