MORE THAN 295,000 PEOPLE IN GEORGIA HAVE (OR HAVE HAD) THE CORONAVIRUS

Over 295,000 people in Georgia have (or have had) the coronavirus, per the state Department of Public Health, which reported 1,055 new cases as well as 20 virus-related deaths on Monday.

According to the latest report by the DPH issued just before 3 pm, there have been 295,337 confirmed cases of COVID-19 across the state. A total of 6,353 fatalities have been attributed to the virus. In Floyd County, there were 2,707 confirmed cases and 39 deaths. Fulton County had the state’s highest number of confirmed cases with 26,289 and the most fatalities with 555.
