The American Red Cross of Northwest Georgia has scheduled a host of blood drives around the region for the coming weeks. All donors will receive a free COVID-19 antibody testing. Results will be available via a free downloaded app within seven to 10 days.
Drives around Rome and Floyd County include:
- Thursday, October 1st from 2 pm to 7 am at the chapter office, 112 John Maddox Drive.
- Wednesday, October 7th from 3 pm to 7 pm at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1941 Shorter Avenue.
- Thursday, October 22nd from 2 pm to 7 pm at the chapter office.
- Monday, November 16th from 3 pm to 7 pm also at the chapter office.
Donors should visit www.redcrossblood.org or call 1-800-REDCROSS to get more information and to schedule an appointment. Walk-ins will be accepted but may have longer wait times.
Blood drives have also been scheduled for the Calhoun and Adairsville areas; information is on the website.
