OVER 2,000 NEW CASES OF COVID-19 REPORTED IN GEORGIA ON WEDNESDAY

Over 299,000 people in Georgia have (or have had) the coronavirus, per the state Department of Public Health, which reported 2,265 new cases as well as 24 virus-related deaths on Wednesday.

According to the latest report by the DPH issued just before 3 pm, there have been 299,056 confirmed cases of COVID-19 across the state. A total of 6,419 fatalities have been attributed to the virus. In Floyd County, there were 2,805 confirmed cases and 39 fatalities. Fulton County reported the highest number of confirmed cases with 26,517 and the most deaths with 557.
