BRAVES IN NEW YORK TO FACE METS THIS WEEKEND

The Atlanta Braves were off Thursday and will return to action this weekend in New York with a three game National League East series against the Mets. Max Fried is slated to return from the injured list to be the starting pitcher for Atlanta in tonight’s opener, while Steven Matz is poised to head to the mound for New York. First pitch is set for 7:10 pm at Citi Field. That game will not be broadcast on WLAQ 1410 AM or 96.9 FM, due to coverage of high school football. WLAQ will, however, have the play the play of the remainder of the series from the Atlanta Braves Radio Network.

Atlanta holds a three game lead in the NL East with 10 games left in the 2020 regular season. New York is in fourth place.
