The South Rome Redevelopment Corporation, at a Tuesday board meeting, appointed Bobby Jones as the interim Executive Director of the community development non-profit, according to an SRRC media release. Jones fills the spot left vacant by Charles Looney, who resigned earlier this month to take a position closer to his family in Columbia, SC.
Jones, a native of Rome, is a grant writer and consultant that has worked with many non-profits in the area.
Brent Bell, the board’s chair, asserts, “We really appreciate Bobby stepping in as part-time interim director to make sure we can continue to function.”
