DAVIES HOMELESS SHELTERS TO BENEFIT FROM DRIVE-IN SCREENINGS OF ‘FORREST GUMP’ THIS WEEKEND

The William S. Davies Homeless Shelters will be the beneficiary of a drive-in screening of the classic film “Forrest Gump” at Rome Cinemas on Shorter Avenue on Friday and Saturday nights. The cost to attend is $25 per carload; $5 of each entry fee will go to the shelters, enthuses Devon Smyth, Executive Director, who encourages the public to come on out and see the movie.

Money raised from these screenings will go towards operational costs of The Shelter and the Ruth and Naomi House, adds Smyth.

The Davies Shelters has also been in the midst of raising funds for their two-acre South Meadows Farm via the Growing Hope campaign. Information is available online at www.daviesshelter.com and via social media.
