NEARLY 310,000 GEORGIANS HAVE (OR HAVE HAD) COVID-19

Close to 310,000 people in Georgia have (or have had) coronavirus, per the state Department of Public Health, which reported 1,577 new cases as well as 98 virus-related deaths on Wednesday. Three fatalities were reported in Floyd County.

According to the latest report by the DPH issued just before 3 pm, there have been 309,678 confirmed cases of COVID-19 across the state. A total of 6,773 fatalities have been attributed to the virus. In Floyd County, there were 3,069 confirmed cases and 44 deaths. Fulton County had the state’s highest number of confirmed cases with 27,247 and the most fatalities with 568.
