BRAVES DROP SERIES FINALE TO MARLINS AT TRUIST PARK

The NL East-champion Atlanta Braves were defeated by the Miami Marlins 4-2 in the finale of a four-game set at Truist Park on Thursday evening, which denied the Braves a sweep of the series. The loss followed a rain delay of just over an hour and a half.

Dansby Swanson drove in both of the Braves’ runs with an RBI single in the bottom of the eighth inning.

Ian Anderson took the loss for Atlanta; he was charged with three runs (none of them earned) and seven hits, walked none and struck out six over five and two-third innings. The Braves’ defense committed four errors.

The Braves will wrap up the 2020 regular season as hosts to the Boston Red Sox over the weekend. Tonight’s opener will not air on WLAQ 1410 AM and 96.9 FM due to our coverage of high school football. Catch the play-by-play of remainder of that Braves vs. Red Sox series on Saturday night and Sunday on WLAQ from the Atlanta Braves Radio Network.
