Animal lovers, mark those calendars for Thursday, October 22nd. That is the date of Howl-O-Ween at the Ridge Ferry Dog Park. The event will take place from 5 pm to 7 pm and will include costume contests, games, microchipping and vaccines at a discounted rate, and (of course) treats, indicates Kristi Kent, Director of Communications for the Georgia’s Rome Office of Tourism.
The tourism office has announced that the Rome Area History Center will be open extended hours, effective on October 8th. The hours will be 10 am until 4 pm every Thursday through Saturday. The center is closed to the public on each Sunday through Wednesday. Entry is free; tickets are no longer needed. All visitors are required to wear masks. The exhibit floor capacity is limited to ten guests at a time.
