OVER 319,000 IN GEORGIA HAVE (OR HAVE HAD) CORONAVIRUS; PRESIDENT, FIRST LADY TEST POSITIVE

More than 319,000 people in Georgia have (or have had) coronavirus, per the state Department of Public Health, which reported 1,376 new cases as well as 43 virus-related deaths on Thursday.

According to the latest report by the DPH issued just before 3 pm, there have been 319,334 confirmed cases of COVID-19 across the state. A total of 7,063 fatalities have been attributed to the virus. In Floyd County, there were 3,259 confirmed cases and 45 deaths. Fulton County had the state’s highest number of confirmed cases with 27,790 and the most deaths with 577.

President Donald Trump announced on Twitter late on Thursday night that he and First Lady Melania Trump have both tested positive for COVID-19. They are in quarantine.
