FIDDLIN’ FEST TO BE HELD RAIN OR SHINE AS FIRST BIG EVENT IN DOWNTOWN ROME FOR 2020

Fiddlin’ Fest Between the Rivers is scheduled for this Saturday, October 10th from 12 pm until 5 pm in downtown Rome.

Megan Otwell, PR Director for Rome’s Downtown Development Authority, states that Fiddlin’ Fest will be held rain or shine, barring any severe weather; this will be the first big event in downtown Rome for 2020.

Aundi Lesley, DDA Director, is eager to move forward with the event to help promote the businesses in downtown Rome, as many have taken a hit due to the coronavirus pandemic. Masks and hand sanitizing stations will be made available to attendees. The number of vendors has been reduced this year to better accommodate social distancing.

Highlights of Fiddlin’ Fest 2020 will include live bluegrass music, pony rides, the Armuchee Ruritan Club’s car show, and more. For details, visit the Rome DDA’s website at www.downtownromega.com. Weather-related updates will be posted on social media; search for Downtown Rome, GA.

This event is free of charge to the public, thanks to financial support from the downtown Business Improvement District (or BID).
