Over 326,000 people in Georgia have (or have had) coronavirus, per the state Department of Public Health, which reported 1,554 new cases in addition to 32 virus-related deaths on Wednesday.
According to the latest report by the DPH issued just before 3 pm, there have been 326,142 confirmed cases of COVID-19 across the state. A total of 7,259 fatalities have been attributed to the virus. In Floyd County, there were 3,357 confirmed cases and 48 deaths. Fulton County had the state’s most confirmed cases with 28,392 and the most deaths with 581.

Model High School’s football game against Chattooga which had been slated for this Friday has been cancelled as members of the Chattooga football team and coaching staff are quarantined due to direct exposure to COVID-19; this announcement was made by the Floyd County Schools on Wednesday.
