NEWLY MINTED FCS SUPERINTENDENT DR. GLENN WHITE KEEPS STUDENTS’ FUTURE AND SAFETY AMONG HIS PRIORITIES

Dr. Glenn White has the future on his mind as Floyd County Schools’ newly-minted Superintendent. He attests that his goal is to ensure that all students are given a quality education which will prepare them for a bright future and help them meet their goals.

Dr. White also asserts that he is confident that the Floyd County Schools are making wise choices to keep students and staff members safe from the spread of coronavirus.

However, Dr. White has concerns about students being quarantined although they are asymptomatic and have no family members that have tested positive for the virus. He says that he aims to comply with the Georgia Department of Public Health’s guidelines, but he’s concerned about quarantining any healthy children.

Dr. Glenn White officially assumed the post of Superintendent of the Floyd County Schools last week after serving in the interim since mid-August. He continues to serve as the President of the Georgia High School Association, a position he’s held since 2014.
