MORE THAN 340,000 PEOPLE IN GEORGIA HAVE (OR HAVE HAD) CORONAVIRUS

More than 340,000 people in Georgia have (or have had) coronavirus as the death toll has passed 7,600, per the state Department of Public Health, which reported 1,199 new cases and 31 virus-related deaths on Sunday.

According to the latest report by the DPH issued just before 3 pm, there have been 340,558 confirmed cases of COVID-19 across the state. A total of 7,638 fatalities have been attributed to the virus. In Floyd County, there were 3,610 confirmed cases and 55 deaths. Fulton County had the state’s highest number of confirmed cases with 29,819 and the most fatalities with 606.
