MORE THAN 341,000 PEOPLE IN GEORGIA HAVE (OR HAVE HAD) CORONAVIRUS; DEATH TOLL TOPS 7,650

More than 341,000 people in Georgia have (or have had) coronavirus, while the death toll has exceeded 7,650, per the state Department of Public Health, which reported 766 new cases and 19 virus-related deaths on Monday.

According to the latest report by the DPH issued just before 3 pm, there have been 341,310 confirmed cases of COVID-19 across the state. A total of 7,657 fatalities have been attributed to the virus. In Floyd County, there were 3,626 confirmed cases and 55 deaths. Fulton County had the state’s highest number of confirmed cases with 29,885 and the most fatalities with 607.
