WINGS OVER NORTH GEORGIA 2020 WILL FEATURE A NUMBER OF NEWCOMERS TO ROME; US ARMY’S BLACK DAGGERS TO HONOR HEALTHCARE WORKERS WITH DEMO AT REDMOND THURSDAY

The countdown is on – t-minus three days until day one of the two-day 2020 Wings Over North Georgia drive-in air show. This year’s show will feature a number acts that will be performing in Rome for the first time.

The line-up of newcomers to the local air show will include Matt Younkin of Younkin Airshows. He asserts that he looks forward to entertaining the Rome audience in his Twin Beech 18.

Younkin adds that he has never been to Rome, Georgia, and he looks forward to being here.

Other first-timers will include the US Army’s Special Operations Command’s Black Daggers Parachute Team, the C-17 Globemaster and F-16 Viper demo teams of the US Air Force, Jive Kirby in his T-28, and Larry Kelly in a B-25 dubbed Panchito.

The US Air Force Thunderbirds will be the headlining act for a third time at WONG, slated for Saturday and Sunday at Rome’s Russell Regional Airport. Tickets are advance purchase only. Get tickets and additional information at www.wingsovernorthgeorgia.com.

The Black Daggers Parachute Team is scheduled to conduct a demonstration at Redmond Regional Medical Center on Thursday morning in honor of local healthcare workers. This 10 am salute is provided courtesy of the US Army’s Atlanta Medical Recruiting Company and the Atlanta Recruiting Battalion.
