TWO CORONAVIRUS-RELATED FATALITIES REPORTED IN FLOYD COUNTY ON WEDNESDAY

The number of Georgians confirmed to have (or have had) the coronavirus is nearing 344,000, while the number of virus-related deaths has now exceeded 7,700, per the state’s Department of Public Health, which reported 1,352 new cases along with 30 fatalities on Wednesday. Two of the deaths were reported in Floyd County.

According to the latest report by the DPH issued just before 3 pm, there have been 343,750 confirmed cases of COVID-19 across the state. A total of 7,704 fatalities have been attributed to the virus. In Floyd County, there were 3,710 confirmed cases and 57 deaths. Fulton County had the state’s highest number of 30,141 and the most fatalities with 612.
