ZETA TO DUMP HEAVY RAINFALL ON GREATER ROME AREA

Substantial rainfall is expected to result from Zeta in the Greater Rome area in the coming days. The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Watch that will take effect at 8 am Wednesday and remain in place until 8 pm on Thursday night. Associated rainfall totals of two to three inches have been predicted for that time frame, with higher amounts possible where heavy rain bands persist for prolonged periods. There is also a threat of strong winds and weak, short-lived tornadoes.
