NEARLY 357,000 PEOPLE IN GEORGIA HAVE (OR HAVE HAD) THE CORONAVIRUS

Close to 357,000 people across Georgia have (or have had) COVID-19, per the state Department of Public Health, which reported 1,866 new cases along with 47 virus-related fatalities on Thursday.

According to the latest report by the DPH issued just before 3 pm, there have been 356,848 confirmed cases of COVID-19 across the state. A total of 7,923 fatalities have been attributed to the virus. In Floyd County, there were 4,040 confirmed cases and 60 deaths. Fulton County had the state’s highest number of confirmed cases with 31,315 and the most deaths with 626.
